Reflections of my youth

You know, during my youth, I was cut from at least 10 basketball teams, but I never gave up. Eventually, I became one of the top players in the nation, even nominated for the McDonald’s All American basketball team and earning a 4yr basketball scholarship (1.2% of male high school basketball players do this). Surprisingly, I was considered a substandard student academically my entire life, up to my master’s degree. Yet, I ended up with a scholarship named after me. Do you know as a child I suffered from a significant stuttering issue only to one day become a key note speaker in my adulthood. Despite numerous failures, I made a significant mark in history in the very areas where I initially faltered, all because I never quit! 🫡
